My Inspirational Booklist
I love to read.
Reading has always been a wonderful pastime of mine and I recently came across an idea to share my favorite books that have made a positive impact on my life. I will be updating this list as I go from one book to another. However these books are not random selections, they have actually helped me break away from living an ordinary non-thankful life. Thanks to many of these books I have grown to admire everything that comes past me. I’m going to stop rambling about life and actually share the list with you… OH and this is in no specific order, it’s just whenever I read or remembered the book.

Holy crap this book was equivalent to a rollercoaster; I kid you not… this book is a game changer in how you live your life. If you ever felt like a failure or a complete waste of space, then yeah I advise you go read this book right ahead. This is an awesome book for creatives and people who feel like they are not creative at all. Mrs. Gilbert really slaps you in the face and says “you can do whatever you want, just get off of your lazy ass and do something.” I like that. I actually liked it a lot. This explains why sooo many people are depressed and I really started looking at creativity from a very different perspective than ever before. Thank you Mrs. Gilbert, your book is a serious life changer. Honestly you should drop everything you are doing and just read this book because you will feel lighter and more open to possibilities than ever before. Yeah honestly, just go read the book and you will see what I’m trying to tell you here.

Your mom will be very proud of you after you read this book because you will want to clean up your room and throw out half of your stuff that you reallllly don’t need anymore. I listened to this book via audiobook in my car while driving to work and couldn’t wait to get home and clean up my room. Anyways it’s a wonderful book for those of you who would like to organize your life and your closet for good. I bought the illustrated version after I finished the actual audiobook because I was extremely inspired and I love the folding techniques. PLUS it has pictures!

I picked this one up while I was in the Louvre (you know the crazy huge museum in France?) This is my favorite chill book because it has a lot of beautiful watercolor sketches from Paris and it also includes a lot of history about the architecture and culture. It’s a great tea book for a relaxing day. I don’t know if you can buy it in the USA. It’s a great book for artists. The paintings are by Fabrice Moireau.
By Robert Greene
So you think you can be a seductress or the next Casanova? Um yeah… actually after reading this book you can be whoever you wish to be. This book was a lot of fun to read because it includes tips, stories and actual advice on how to lure people to you. I wouldn’t advise following all of this book because it teaches you how to become a master manipulator which in my point of view can be harmful. But hey! If you like that sort of lust, then go for it. I liked this book because of the underlying psychology of human needs to be noticed and wanted. It’s useful for marketing (I mean come on, you have to seduce your customer in the first place, right?) Robert Greene is extremely clever and this book will leave you thinking about your next great seduction.

DAMN ROWLING, back at it again with the great books!
You will fall in love with this detective series. Cormoran Strike and Robin are the new Sherlock and Watson. It’s sooo good and I won’t spoil anything because it’s just drool worthy. If you have just a few minutes every day to read, go and pick these books up because they are wonderful. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and this is just another book to feed my ever growing addiction to J.K’s writing. Wow, just wow. I can’t wait for more books to come out!

It’s amazing to read about other people’s lives and see where they are in perspective to where you are. As a 22 year old I might just be young an naive compared to these people but I loved reading and looking at all of the little quotes and stories. The pictures are fun as well. I really enjoyed the micro fashion photos. I realized that a lot of these people are fighting for what I sometimes take for granted. Thanks to this book I took a step back and realized that I am soo lucky to be who I am. And maybe, instead of being always concerned about who I am, I should just be the best person I can be at all times. Too much self reflection can be harmful to the human mind. So sometimes it’s better to get out there and do something rather than think about how to do it perfectly. Stop wasting time, do something interesting in your life OH! and read this book. No matter who you are or what you do you will realize that we are all lost and looking for someone to love or someone to love us. In the end why not just be happy with everything that you already have, be proud of it. Don’t be ashamed of who you are. That’s what this book is all about. Go read it.

This is a memoir about a crazy lady who treats travel like medicine. It was a seriously inspirational read for a woman because in the book Kristen describes that she has this urge to fall in love with the right man and then live happily ever after. Well, after several failed attempts she decides to travel more and more until she discovers that she was not ready for that full time relationship. I really loved reading about all of her adventures, including those that focused on sexy bartenders. There was a lot of talk about sex and it was very straight forward, so just keep that in mind! But it was really refreshing and charming to listen (I got the audio book version) to Kristen talk about how she felt during her adventures and why somethings worked out and other did not. I learned that it’s better to wait a while before settling down, when the time is right it will happen. I also learned about the “moocow” theory which happened when her best friend thought she found the right man because his family called the cows on road trips moocows just like hers!!! He must be the one right? These little signs trick us into thinking we have found the right person, but they are just coincidences and they should not lead towards a decision. Yeah it sounds straight forwards, but just think of how many women fall for it. Anyways it’s a great book if you love to travel, idk if it’s good for men but whatever. I thought it was a great read!
